Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes we offer dollar value gift certificates as well as packaged trips - take your pick!
Do you offer family discounts?
Yes, for 3 guests it's 10% off all seats, and for 4 guests is 20% off all seats.
How long has High Country Helicopter Tours been in operation?
We have been operating since 1996.
What seasons do you offer heli tours and heli hiking?
Our tours and sightseeing run year round. Heli-hiking is a summer activity running from late June to the end of September.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay via Visa, Mastercard, cash and cheques in advance of flight tours.
How do I get to the airport?
Our Peregrine heliport is 1 hrs drive east of Jasper on Hwy 16 or 5 mins west of the Town of Hinton - we will supply you a map on how to find us easily.
How many people can fly?
We have a six seater Bell Long Ranger and a 4 seater Bell Jet Ranger, we need a minimum of 2 guests per flight.
Is there a kids price?
We do offer family discounts - 10% off for 3 seats and 20% off for 4 or more seats
Is there an age limit?
There's no age limit though we need to protect the hearing of small children where the headsets may be too large - therefore we usuallly restrict flights to age 5 and up.
What about weather?
We will only fly when safe to do so - we will always pre-warn guests if we think the winds are too high to give a comfortable flight and it doesn't need to be sunny as you will be taking pictures below the helicopter so overcast conditions are just fine. We usually don't fly when the temperature gets below -20C and we definately do not fly during snow storms or if there is a chance of freezing rain. We also don't heli-hike during times where thunderstorms are expected.
What about cancellations?
Deposits for tours that are cancelled 48 hours in advance of flight are refunded 100%. If within the 48 hrs, you have to cancel - there is a $200 cancellation fee
Can we take pictures?
We encourage all guests to take as many still and video pictures as they possibly can.
